Katherine Scharf Thompson, alumna of the class on 1938, made a distribution from her trust to WOU to create this scholarship. This fund is established to be used for scholarships in Elementary Education with an emphasis on music education.

Scholarship Criteria:
- Education-oriented music major

- Music-oriented elementary education major
