About this Scholarship:
Established in 1990 by professor emeritus of education, Dr. Margaret Hiatt, and elementary education faculty members. “Peggy” Hiatt left her own legacy through the many teachers that she helped to prepare and the many lives that they, in turn, would influence. Peggy also contributed to the Western community through her participation with the Jensen Arctic Museum, Gentle House, and Foundation Board activities. Peggy Hiatt was nominated as the Monmouth-Independence Outstanding Citizen.
