Model United Nations Scholarship

About this Scholarship:
Established by WOU Model United Nations in 2006. Model United Nations is a student club at Western Oregon University that provides students an opportunity to learn about the social, political, economic, and humanitarian problems of our modern world and how, through negotiations and communication, progress can be made in solving these issues. MUN believes that an education through the program provides students with a global perspective and experience transferable into any professional environment.

- WOU student with outstanding performance, contribution, and commitment to WOUMUN

Supplemental Questions
  1. A short essay (200-300 words) that describes how a. Model United Nations will help you achieve your academic and career goals, and why you want to be a member of the club, and b. how you will contribute to recruiting and fundraising for the club.
  2. As a recipient of the WOUMUN scholarship you will be given a directorate (leadership committee). Are you prepared to accept and fulfill this position? If so, provide a statement affirming this commitment and describing what would you hope to achieve in this position.
  3. Provide a polished Position Paper/Policy Statement from a MUN conference.
