Edward B. Wright Center for Computer Science Scholarship

About this Scholarship:
Edward B. Wright established the Computer Science Department at WOU. Ed grew up in rural Montana and learning in the classroom was a struggle; he persevered because he knew an education was essential to the life he wanted.

Scholarship Criteria:
- Prospective or current full-time student (12 credits or more per term)
- Declared major of Computer Science, Information Systems, C/S Math
- Demonstrates one or more of the following qualities:

  • A quest for knowledge and growth
  • Looks for new and creative ideas and solutions
  • Values volunteerism, social involvement, mentoring
  • Potential to achieve excellence
  • Passionate curiosity and a willingness to try
  • Embraces “how to” not “why we can’t”
